Michelle Obama Inaugural Fashion

Michelle Obama kicked off the day of President Obama’s second inauguration in style! She wore a custom-fitted Thom Browne checkered coat and dress with a beautiful beaded belt and Reed Krakoff shoes. When asked about his designs for the first lady, Browne said, “I wanted her to feel good in it and to feel comfortable, strong, feminine and beautiful.” Browne is mainly known for his tailored suiting and menswear clothing, and you can see the menswear inspired details in her coat! Mrs. Obama has become a true style icon, and her immense respect for those in the fashion community has made many designers today household names!

Jason Wu Sketch of Dress

When it comes to making brilliant and daring fashion choices, Michelle Obama always knocks it out of the park and manages to exceed all of our high expectations! She looked like royalty in this ruby red Jason Wu creation with Jimmy Choo heels and a Kimberly McDonald ring. This is the second time that Michelle Obama has worn Jason Wu for the inauguration, and we love how his designs fit and flatter our First Lady (and like we always say, why fix what’s not broken?) The style of this dress is also very flattering, and the halter-style cut beautifully showcases Mrs. Obama’s sculpted arms. Mrs. Obama was also sporting a fabulous new ‘do, and we love her bangs and youthful haircut. It is incredible how one hairstyle can truly make or break an outfit, and we think Mrs. Obama’s new look completely flatters her personality and also worked well with her gown. It is important to remember how the power of one haircut can greatly influence your overall look and style!
