14 Best and Worst Dressed of Golden Globes 2015

BEST

1. Emma Stone

Prediction based on this ensemble: Emma Stone will be THE Manic Pixie Dream Girl of 2015.

2.. Kate Hudson

Stomach slits and a plunging neckline rarely amount to good taste, but Kate Hudson and the seasoned pros at Atelier Versace make it more than work in this sleek white gown.

3. Sienna Miller

Embellishment inspired by magical fairy wonderlands done right. Sienna Miller would be a magnificent wood nymph.

4. Julianne Moore

Although accepting an award on Alzheimers, Julianne Moore did not forget how to dress. I wish I could say the same for the rest of Hollywood.

5. Chrissy Teigen

If you look up “jaw droppingly gorgeous”, a picture of Chrissy Teigan’s 2015 Emmy dress should appear. Simultaneously sophisticated and sexy, this sheer floor length stunner is sensuality embodied.

6. Lupita Nyong’o

Showing off her toned shoulders with a strapless neckline, Lupita looks gorgeous in royal purple yet again. I love the lush layers of fabric and color blending.

7. Felicity Jones

The new old look: a classic Dior silhouette is modernized with a deep emerald wash.

Worst

1. Claire Danes

Claire Danes in a dress by Valentino and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Claire Dane’s odious Golden Globes outfit is the unwanted offspring of a tacky scarf and frumpy dress.

2. Keira Knightley

Keira Knightley in Chanel.

Keira Knightley in Chanel.

In a recent interview, Keira Knighley said it took 30 people to create this Chanel monstrosity. 30 people should be fired losing their jobs right about now. Also, who thought “there aren’t enough butterflies already in this look, let’s add a butterfly clutch”? Because that person should look into another field. Maybe one in an actual field.

3. Maggie Gyllenhal

Maggie Gyllenhaal in Miu Miu.

Could Maggie Gyllenhall not find anyone to lend her jewelry? Like you didn’t want to slap anything, anything at all for a major televised awards show?

4. Melissa McCartney

Melissa McCarthy in a black and white dress with a Carla Amorim ring and Doves by Doron Paloma earrings.

Who is the genius that put Melissa McCarthy in ruffles and a massive freaking bow? She’s a full figured woman, not a toddler.

5. Robin Wright

Is Robin Wright depressed? Is Ralph Lauren depressed? I’m genuinely concerned. This is concerning.

6. Jemima Kirk

7. Tea Length Triple Terror

Julianna whipped this look up from some old curtains in her spare time because she’s really into DIY right now.

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington in Mary Katrantzou.

Kerry Washington looks like an actual angel, which makes whoever put her in this tea length color blocked eyesore at minimum a lesser demon.

You don’t do ankle length with petite women and this is why: it cuts them off. Down with dressing adult women like American Dolls.

The Hollywood elite celebrated the annual Hollywood Reporter Oscar Nominees’ Night in Beverly Hills on February 4th, and as Oscar night approaches we are waiting with anticipation to see what these leading ladies will be wearing on the red carpet! For now, we can focus on their fabulous outfits from the night: Jessica Chastain pumped up the glamour effect in this black Givenchy number with Christian Louboutin heels and wavy locks. Naomi Watts took a more causal route wearing an A.L.C. jacket and shirt, Theyskens for Theory pants, Christian Louboutin shoes, and a Gucci bag. Both Naomi and Jessica seem to be wearing the same Louboutin pumps, which are versatile for practically everything in your wardrobe and you can never go wrong with them. Emma Stone looked like a true Hollywood movie star in this silk a-line dress by Andrew Gn and black pointed pumps, and we especially love how she channeled the 1950’s in this glamorous get-up! Last but certainly not least, Amy Adams wore this gorgeous black lace cocktail dress paired with nude pumps and simple earrings. This night gave us just a glimpse into the red carpet future, and we can only await anxiously to see what they will be wearing the night of the Oscars!

This year truly proved to be a remarkable year in fashion. Celebrities dazzled in some gorgeous designer gowns at major red carpet events. We’ve hand-picked our top 2012 red carpet looks and we think each leading lady looks absolutely amazing! Michelle Williams looks breathtaking in this cherry red lace dress designed by Louis Vuitton. She kept her accessories and makeup simple with a pink clutch, jeweled necklace and matching red lips. Charlize Theron is a vision in this gorgeous blush pink Dior Haute Couture gown. This Grecian style chiffon dress paired with her simple headband and heels proved to be a major hit. Emma Stone always looks incredible, but here at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, she really rocked this black and white Martin Grant bustier dress. The combination of the fitted bodice and bubbled skirt create a truly one-of-a-kind red carpet look! And last but not least, we have Claire Danes in the beautiful chartreuse lemon Lanvin gown. This shade of yellow was the color of the season and she looked stunning! Who do you think deserves to be mentioned on our top 2012 best dressed list?
