Weekly Pull: Amazing Autumn

1. Modern Monarch

Screen Shot 2014-08-24 at 3.39.40 PM

Clover Canyon pants, $300; AS by DF top, $148; Jared Jamin Necklace, Price Upon Request

Sidewalks might as well be runways now a days. The heat wave is set to break this weekend, and with it roll in Fall’s wonderfully mild embrace. Prints are major and pants are a must, so strike a post and strut down Santa Monica in this sumptuous Clover Canyon piece. The dark yet rich colors of one of Clover Canyon’s mod-Scottish patterns for F/W are precisely on trend with the Season’s major hues. We paired the pants with an ASbyDF tank that’s on trend in not one, but two ways: zipper details and halter neckline. Dark and light weave together wonderfully, and a glamorous Jared Jamin necklace adds the finishing touch on an ensemble fit for LA’s modern monarch.

2. Elegant Edge

Clover Canyon Top, $260, & Skirt, $240.

NYFW may be over, but in LA, the parties are just getting good. No one commands attention like a gorgeous girl in a sophisticated and sleek set. Matching tops and bottoms littered the runways during last weeks shows, so we’re loving the contrast between this bold Clover Canyon print and prim cut of ultra light and incredibly flattering dream fabric neoprene.

3. Pajama Party Posh

Screen Shot 2014-08-24 at 3.40.07 PM

Lauren Stucky top, $273; Clover Canyon pants, $300.

Don’t we all wish we could roll out of bed in our pajamas? Well you can but you have to do it the right way. These silky, menswear-inspired pants are just tight enough to hug your assets and just loose enough to wear on a flight to Tokyo. The stand out striped pattern gives you the freedom to pair these pants with just about any cut and fabric!  We chose our favorite velvet tank top by Lauren Stucky because no other fabric reminds us more of Fall than luxurious and oh-so-feminine velvet.

Wedding Attire Do’s and Don’ts

wedding2

With Marina’s Wedding rapidly approaching, we’ve been stressing about looking perfect for the stylehaüs founder’s big day. You have to somehow pull off a chic, comfortable, and family friendly ensemble without sacrificing youthful charm and on trend details.  Here are our tips of what to wear and what not to wear when attending an ultra stylish wedding.

1. Something Blue

Screen Shot 2014-08-24 at 3.40.15 PM

Isshō dress $395, Jared Jamin Necklace

Do:

It’s always fun to play off of the bridal superstitions of what you must wear on you’re wedding to have a decent marriage. Clean cuts and simple details is the way to go when picking out a wedding ensemble and this Isshō dress from Stylehaüs is a perfect option.

Screen Shot 2014-08-23 at 6.11.17 PMDon’t:

go crazy on the blue. This is not a blast from the past dress. Ruffles, glitter and strange hues of blue are a big no. You want to gracefully blend into the fashionable crowd. Not stick out and have everyone, including me, give the “what were you thinking” look.

2. Spring Fling

Screen Shot 2014-08-24 at 3.40.23 PM

Lauren Stucky dress $569, Diamond Cuff (contact for pricing)

Do:

Outdoor wedding can get hot, sweaty, and bugs will be flying everywhere. Not my style, but, if you are the chosen one to attend such a wedding, here’s what i would choose to wear. The cut outs in this stylish dress will give you the chance to stay cool but it’s also covering up enough that you’re not going to be stealing the eyes of all the creepy single men.

Screen Shot 2014-08-23 at 6.09.34 PMDon’t: go crazy on the cut outs. Keep it classy.

3. New York Wedding

Screen Shot 2014-08-24 at 3.40.32 PM

RVN dress on sale for $330, Jared Jamin Necklace $600

Do:

Put fashion on the most important list. Dresses that mimic art deco styles from 1920’s New York are usually chic and spectacular..

Screen Shot 2014-08-23 at 6.17.58 PM

Don’t:

take the 20’s appreciation literally. It’s not Halloween just yet.

Weekly Pull: Anything But Basic Black

blacksheader

Black is by far the boldest neutral, and all black ensembles have long been a staple of fashion elite for a very real reason. No other hue holds such a sophistication cache as effortless ebony, with icons like Coco Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld lauding it’s slimming, timeless, and fantastically flexible virtue.

California may be the most colorful Coast, but LA’s regal residents can be spotted in head to toe black during every Season and occasion. Here are two stylehaüs outfits that put a modern, breezy twist on all black. Playful, flirtatious, and impeccably suited for late Summer heat waves, these looks effortlessly combine timeless sophistication, lightweight luxury, and 2014’s biggest trends.

Searing Summer weather doesn’t excuse a lack of accessorization.

During the warmest months, it might be all too tempting to go commando on jewelry in favor of the fleeting satisfaction of accessible breeze.

Don’t fall victim to temptation! Accessorizing is always the answer, even when you want to strip down to your skivvies and take a dunk in the Pacific… Or just The Standard rooftop pool.
