One of our favorite looks for springtime is the romper, and we’re so excited the weather is finally starting to get warm enough to whip them out! The shortened onesie is one of the easiest ways to look stylish, and is definitely a quintessential summertime look. Just throw it on with some chic jewelry and you’re good to go! Rompers are definitely one of the best things to put on when you’re feeling a little bit lazy or rushed; they require little to no effort, and still make you look stylish! They are playful and sexy, and can be perfect for a night on the town, a dinner date, or just a casual brunch with friends. You can even pair longer romper with a blazer or cardigan for a fun and different office look, and we love the range of styles. Overall, we’re crazy about this fabulous trend!

How do you feel about rompers?  Is this a trend you love, or one that you wish would go away? Let us know in the comments below!

When is it time to start using anti-aging products?

Many of the changes in skin texture, tone, and pigmentation that start to show up in the 30’s and 40’s are actually a result of the damage that occurred early in life.  School-free summers, beach vacations, and daily sun exposure (especially if you live at a high altitude or sunny climate) all add up over time. If you wait until wrinkles are deeply set, it may be too late to reverse them to your satisfaction. Starting treatment and prevention early can prevent those wrinkles from setting in at all. What products and treatments are the most effective for age-prevention?

1.  Daily sunscreen – you’ve heard it before.  It’s the #1 anti-aging treatment in existence.  If you don’t wear it, don’t bother spending any money or time on other treatments.  Make sure your sunscreen is at least SPF 30 and contains broad-spectrum coverage.

2.  Antioxidants – These ingredients help to protect your skin from more damage and can help to repair existing damage to some degree.  Vitamin C, vitamin E, coffee berry, and ferulic acid are potent topical antioxidants available in products.

3.  Vitamin A treatments such as retinol or prescription tretinoin – actually can reverse signs of aging at the cellular level.  They may even be effective in treating and preventing precancerous lesions.

4.  Botulinum toxin – Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are the injectable treatments available in the U.S. that relax facial muscles causing lines of “expression” such as forehead lines and crow’s feet.  Using this treatment before the wrinkles are deep can prevent the wrinkles from forming at all.  If you use the treatment early enough, you will only need a small amount of product and the result is natural looking.  Treatments about 3 times a year are needed for maintenance.

Recommended products:

  • SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic serum
  • Revaleskin Hydralift Complex (contains CoffeeBerry, retinol, and vitamin E)
  • Dysport

Memorial Day is quickly approaching, but that doesn’t mean we’re saving our summer whites until then! Very few states are left with snow, and we’re embracing the sunshine and warm weather by wearing white. As flowers are beginning to bloom and your skin starts to gets a taste of that sun-kissed summer loving, white is a hot trend that will have you fashionably ready for the warmer months. Whether you make a bold style statement and opt for an all-white ensemble or decide to mix in statement accessories, you can truly never go wrong with this classic and feminine tone. From street styles, to the spring runways, and even on the red carpet (how amazing is Charlize Theron’s Dior Couture Oscar gown?!) white has the ability to tie your whole outfit together. The best part about this trend: white will never go out of style, so any pieces you buy will have longevity and can be incorporated into a multitude of looks. If you decide to mix prints and patterns, white is the perfect neutral tone to coordinate your look; whether you opt for white shoes, a purse, belt, or pants, white will have you looking chic all year round!

It is quite obvious that this checker pattern has taken over almost every fashion magazine this month. This bold print feels fresh, yet still has a mod feel which keeps it retro and quirky. These models and celebrities look amazing donning this statement print and the styling is spot on! If you love this pattern but would rather not wear this look head-to-toe and risk looking like a checker board, opt for an accessory that has the fun print on it instead. Rock black and white checkers on the front of a bag or a sneaker with the bold print. You will still have that hint of mod meets modern in your outfit without feeling too consumed by the pattern.
